Join Sunrise Medical Laboratories as a Medical Billing Specialist supporting patient billing and insurance verification in a clinical laboratory environment.
This full-time, benefit-eligible role is based in Hicksville, NY with on-site training followed by work-from-home flexibility once fully trained.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00am to 3:30pm
- 40 hours per week
Key responsibilities
- Enter patient information into the billing system accurately and on time
- Verify eligibility with insurance carriers and contact providers as needed to ensure accurate information and timely filing
- Navigate insurance websites, read EOBs, and answer customer insurance questions
- Follow the Q&A process for unbilled claims and correct errors as needed
- Provide backup customer service by answering inbound patient billing questions and taking payments

- Strong typing skills required
