Medical & Dental Billing Specialist

East Arkansas Family Health Center Inc

East Arkansas Family Health Center is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Medical & Dental Billing Specialist to join its Revenue Cycle team in Marion, Arkansas.

This role is responsible for processing medical and dental insurance claims, resolving billing issues, monitoring unpaid claims, and ensuring accurate reimbursement from patients and third-party payers. The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys problem-solving, and provides excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week.

Requirements & Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing, insurance claims processing, or a related healthcare business office role
  • Knowledge of medical and dental insurance claims, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
  • Strong data entry and computer skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or healthcare organization
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software
  • Experience with claims follow-up and accounts receivable
