In this role, you will manage the billing process for ophthalmic and optometric services, ensure accurate coding, submit claims on time, and follow up on outstanding accounts. This position supports revenue cycle management, cash flow improvement, and patient satisfaction through clear communication and efficient billing practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims using CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding standards specific to ophthalmology and optometry procedures.
- Review patient medical records to ensure documentation aligns with billing requirements and coding accuracy.
- Manage medical collections by following up on unpaid or denied claims and working closely with insurance companies and patients.

Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
