Join the EPIC team at NexCare WellBridge Senior Living as a Medical Billing Specialist. This role is responsible for clerical billing duties, including reviewing and verifying patient account information against payer program specifications, processing invoices, and responding to patient account questions related to payment and reimbursement. The position also serves as a key contact for assigned centers to help troubleshoot and resolve billing issues.
This is an in-person position at the corporate facility in Brighton, Michigan.

Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 3+ years of related billing experience
- Managed Care, Medicare, and/or Medicaid billing experience preferred
- Hospital billing and insurance claim processing experience preferred
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines, medical terminology, and HIPAA compliance
- Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic medical record systems
- Familiarity with medical insurance manual claims and claims appeal processes
- Knowledge of third-party billing and collections
- Basic understanding of UB-04, 1500, CPT, and ICD-9 coding
- Knowledge of hospital and/or medical billing and insurance claim filing
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, Medicare procedures, and diagnosis coding preferred
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks effectively
- Must maintain integrity and confidentiality regarding patient information and records
