We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join a private practice Ophthalmology and Oculoplastic team. This role supports end-to-end revenue cycle management, accurate coding, compliance with healthcare regulations, and full claim adjudication in a fast-paced medical office environment.
The position involves working closely with the Operations Director, maintaining accurate billing records, and helping improve billing processes and overall efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience in ophthalmology medical billing and coding is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, including ICD-10 and ICD-9
- Familiarity with medical office operations and electronic health record systems is a plus, especially Modernizing Medicine
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills for interaction with providers, patients, and insurance representatives
- Certification in medical coding or billing is an advantage but not required
- Bilingual skills are a plus
