As a Claims Specialist, you will support the healthcare reimbursement cycle by ensuring claims are accurate, transparent, and processed efficiently. This role acts as a bridge between clinic operations and insurance payers, helping make sure patient care is correctly reflected in billing. The position is based in Flower Mound, TX and works closely with multiple internal departments.
Key responsibilities include managing the full claims lifecycle, verifying visit details and authorizations, following up with payers on remits and outstanding issues, submitting medical records and documentation requests, collaborating with internal teams on insurance updates and claim holds, ensuring correct billing data is used, managing claim queues, and auditing claims for accuracy before submission.
Education
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's degree in progress or completed preferred
Experience
- 2 years of medical billing / revenue cycle management experience preferred
Skills
- Deep understanding of medical billing, coding, and EMR systems
- Proficiency with office technology and multi-line phone management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
