Join PedIM Healthcare, a multi-discipline medical practice serving children, adults, and seniors across Citrus County. The team provides pediatrics, internal medicine, family practice, geriatrics, women’s care, medical weight-loss, and sleep-medicine services.
This role focuses on insurance accounts receivable work, including follow-up on unpaid claims, denial resolution, and ensuring timely claim payment. The position is on-site at the corporate office in Crystal River, Florida, and follows a Monday-Friday full-time schedule.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Previous experience in medical billing and insurance accounts receivable preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing
- Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifier usage
- Experience with denial management and claim corrections
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR and billing systems; eClinicalWorks experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience working aging reports and high-volume claim follow-up
- Knowledge of insurance appeal processes
- Ability to improve workflow efficiency and proactively identify billing issues
- Strong teamwork and professionalism
