Working experience in physical therapy billing
Experience with New York Workers' Compensation, no-fault, and commercial insurance
Experience with accounts receivable, claim denials, overpayments, and credentialing
Competency in all aspects of billing
Reasonable computer literacy and ability to work with EOBs, CPT codes, and ICD codes
Ability to post insurance checks and review and understand denials
Knowledge of in-network and out-of-network claims
Knowledge of Medicare and private insurance
Ability to cross-cover front desk duties and collect payments from patients
Strong organizational skills, responsibility, friendliness, and motivation
Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch
