Under indirect supervision, this role performs a variety of basic to complex processing tasks related to timely and accurate billing and reconciliation of discrepancies. The position works closely with the Central Billing Office to report monthly financials.
Responsibilities include processing monthly billing for substance abuse testing, resolving client billing questions, responding to client communications, verifying accounting system data, issuing invoices, managing client account status, updating accounting records, and supporting training of new employees and peers.
Education
- Associate degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience with all billing functions.
- Experience with complex client billing preferred.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, including HIPAA/PHI.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel.
- Strong communication, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide support to peers.
