The Harris House Foundation is a residential treatment program for alcohol and drug addiction. This role is responsible for covering all aspects of billing and collecting on client accounts.
Key responsibilities include creating and submitting insurance claims, processing client payments, researching and resolving denials and claim discrepancies, communicating with insurance carriers, monitoring receivables and collections metrics, downloading insurance payments and remittance details, and maintaining a professional and customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications and skills
- Associate degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience as a medical biller/collector
- Proficiency with computers and common computer applications
- Knowledge of medical billing, collections, EMR systems, and QuickBooks
- AR experience required
- Understanding of revenue cycle management and mental health billing
- Knowledge of commercial insurance plans and claims reimbursement processes
- Familiarity with EOBs, copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and denial codes
- Ability to read and interpret insurance provider manuals and remark codes
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize independently, and work both independently and as part of a team
