A Pharmacy Medical Biller contributes to AHF's mission by working within and outside of the Department of Medicine.
Responsibilities include claim submission, claim edits, payment posting and cashiering, credit and refund processing, insurance follow-up, denial management, patient follow-up, and patient collections.
The role also includes verifying patient insurance eligibility and scope of coverage, responding professionally to billing-related telephone calls, and answering questions from patients, staff, and other interested parties within 24 hours of receipt.
This position supports revenue cycle operations by handling refunds, overpayments, and payment transfers accurately and efficiently while remaining flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
