We are a growing neurosurgery clinic expanding and seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will manage the full billing process, ensure accurate and timely claim submission, maintain communication with insurance providers and patients, and help support revenue cycle operations in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications & skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs, including Word and Excel
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- EMR proficient
- Proficient in insurance verification and authorization processes
- Experience with CollaborateMD and Practice Fusion is a plus
Experience
- Proven experience in medical billing or medical office administration with a strong understanding of healthcare claims management
- Familiarity with medical coding including ICD, CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG systems
- Experience working with billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of health insurance policies, medical terminology, and medical records management
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
- Prior experience in medical collection processes is a plus
