The Medical Biller - Full Charge will manage the billing process end to end for a four-provider healthcare team, ensuring accurate and timely claim submission, follow-up on unpaid accounts, and maintenance of precise medical records. This role supports revenue cycle performance and provides excellent service to patients and insurance providers.
Responsibilities include preparing and submitting claims in athena EHR, tracking accounts receivable, following up on denied or unpaid claims, and collaborating with providers to support quality programs.
- Proven experience in full-charge medical billing within a healthcare setting
- Prior medical office experience preferred
- Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT coding, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with athena EHR preferred
- Knowledge of health insurance policies, claims management, quality programs, and medical records handling
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with billing software
- Ability to interpret complex medical bills and resolve discrepancies with strong attention to detail
