Ear, Nose & Throat Consultants (ENTC) is seeking a full-time Medical Biller/Coder to join its growing practice. This role works Monday through Friday and supports a long-established ENT practice with locations in Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb Counties.
The position focuses on accurate medical billing and coding, claims submission, follow-up on unpaid claims, and resolving denials and billing discrepancies. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure compliant, timely reimbursement and maintain accurate patient records.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in billing, coding, and claims collections in a healthcare setting preferred
- Medical billing and coding certification preferred, such as CPC or CCS
- Recent graduates with CPC certification may also be considered
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency with CPT and ICD-10 coding guidelines and updates
- Experience with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) or EMR systems
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for working with providers, insurance companies, and patients
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent
