NeoGenomics is seeking a Billing Reimbursement Specialist II to support revenue collection through medical claims reconciliation. This is a temporary remote position with a Monday through Friday day shift.
The role focuses on working with third-party insurance plans and patient billing for independent laboratory claims. You will help resolve billing issues, manage denials and appeals, review payer documentation, and support accurate account maintenance to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in A/R, billing, insurance, or healthcare
- Laboratory insurance billing experience preferred
- Working knowledge of coding systems including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
- Familiarity with LCD/NCD coverage guidelines and payer medical policies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, intranet/internet tools, and related software
- Knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement processes
