Medical Management Services is hiring a full-time Medical Billing Specialist to support a professional multi-disciplinary team. This role is responsible for conducting accurate coding and billing practices, posting patient and insurance payments, reviewing explanation of benefits, evaluating submitted information, and helping determine appropriate insurance benefits.
The position requires careful review of claims and supporting documentation, accurate data entry, clear documentation of decisions, and collaboration with team members to support new projects and continuous process improvement. The role also requires adherence to HIPAA, company policies, and professional standards.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT codes preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work
- Ability to work independently with thorough analysis and creative problem-solving
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- General computer and Microsoft Office knowledge
- Typing speed of 30–50 WPM with strong data entry skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Experience and Training
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
- Medical coding and/or billing experience preferred
- Exceptional candidates may be trained
