Responsible for accurate and timely assignment and review of professional coding for a multi-specialty group, including ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
Requirements & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification required
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
- Medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge
- Knowledge of payer guidelines
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Current and valid driver's license
- Ability to build effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
