The US Oncology Network is seeking a Coding Specialist to join Texas Oncology in a full-time hybrid remote role supporting the Central Business Office in Richardson, Texas.

In this role, the Coding Specialist performs medical record coding activities, assigns diagnostic and procedure codes, and supports compliance and reimbursement guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications
Level 1
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a course in medical record technology
- Minimum 1 year of medical coding experience required; 3 years preferred
- Applicable certification preferred
- Knowledge of medical record coding procedures and ICD-9/CPT-4 coding systems highly desirable
Senior Level (in addition to Level 1 requirements)
- Completion of a course in medical terminology
- Minimum 5 years of medical coding experience
- Prior oncology experience preferred
- RHIT certification preferred
