Under general supervision, this position is responsible for coding for a busy radiology practice with multiple reading locations. The role ensures that every exam is coded accurately and in a timely manner.
This position involves ICD-10 and CPT coding, attention to detail, analysis, and research. Most work is remote, with an in-home work office or on-site attendance for periodic meetings. Work must be completed on company equipment only, and the employee must sign the remote worker policy.
The role requires maintaining accuracy with a 5% or less error rate and coding approximately 500+ reports per day.
Education and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Coding Certification (CPC) required
- 3+ years of experience working in medical coding preferred
- Experience with RadPayor, MedInformatics, and Waystar is a plus
Skills and abilities
- Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
