Experienced Laboratory Billing Specialist for a CLIA-certified, COLA-accredited clinical reference laboratory.
The role is part of the Revenue Cycle team and focuses on laboratory insurance claims, denial resolution, payment posting, eligibility verification, and reimbursement support. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, and on-site in Wayne, NJ.
Key duties include managing commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid claims; handling appeals; posting ERAs, EFTs, and insurance payments; reconciling payments; and working with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and laboratory billing guidelines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of laboratory billing experience required.
- Experience with reference laboratory billing preferred.
- Knowledge of Modifier 90, laboratory CPT coding, and payer requirements.
- Strong experience with denial management and appeals.
- Understanding of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid billing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
