Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Formalized education and training through an accredited coding program required
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of inpatient coding experience required
Certifications
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Must possess one of the certifications listed above
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of 3M Encoding and Grouping software
