Guardian Pharmacy of Englewood is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Billing Specialist to support long-term care pharmacy billing operations in Englewood, Colorado.
This role is responsible for processing customer bills and insurance claims accurately and on time, assisting with daily and month-end billing functions, and providing excellent service to patients, caregivers, providers, and insurance carriers.
The position involves working closely with pharmacy systems, insurance plans, prior authorizations, claims adjudication, audits, and billing workflows in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician certification
- Strong understanding of PBMs, prescription adjudication, prior authorization, brand vs. generic medications, OTC products, and pharmacy workflow
- High school diploma or GED required
- Pharmacy technician license/certification/registration as required by state
- National certification preferred (PTCB) and may be required depending on the pharmacy
- 2+ years of related experience, including at least 6 months of billing experience in a long-term care or retail setting
- Advanced computer skills and pharmacy information system experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Quality-focused mindset with the ability to identify and resolve errors
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs), and third-party insurance billing
- Ability to follow HIPAA and other government regulations
