We are a dedicated rheumatology practice in North Raleigh seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to support the financial operations of patient care.
In this role, you will manage billing, collections, coding-related workflows, denials, appeals, prior authorizations, eligibility verification, and patient account communication. You will also help maintain accurate records, support revenue cycle processes, and collaborate with providers to ensure claims are processed correctly.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven medical billing experience in a private practice setting
- Strong hands-on experience resolving denials
- Familiarity with medical collections practices and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with EHR systems and billing software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with patients and insurance representatives
- Prior medical practice experience preferred
- Ability to multitask, maintain a pleasant demeanor, and coordinate effectively
