Dermatology Center of Atlanta is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join its privately owned dermatology practice. This is a full-time, in-office position in a friendly, fast-paced environment with strong patient focus.
The role involves hands-on billing, collections, payment posting, payer communication, and claims follow-up. Candidates should be detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to high standards of accuracy and service.
Requirements & Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in medical billing.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, collections, payment posting, and payer communication
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of Medicare, PPO/POS/HMO plans
- Advanced knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Ability to read EOBs and post payments in practice management software (ModMed)
- Compliance with HIPAA and security standards
- Ability to pass a background check
- Dermatology experience preferred
