Ignite Medical Resorts is hiring a Medicaid Billing Specialist II for its home office in Park Ridge, Illinois.
This role is responsible for managing Medicaid billing and collections with increased independence and accountability. The position ensures claim accuracy, manages adjustments and receivables, resolves discrepancies affecting reimbursement, and works closely with facility Business Office Managers on eligibility and authorization issues.
The specialist also supports departmental performance by monitoring trends, documenting payer activity, participating in AR reviews, and assisting with training and orientation of Specialist I staff.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in health care insurance billing, preferably in skilled nursing facility settings.
Strong knowledge of Medicaid programs, including eligibility criteria, covered services, billing rules, recipient rights, and provider responsibilities.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage, analyze, and reconcile billing and payment details.
Must work well in a team-oriented, cooperative environment.
