Granger Medical Clinic is hiring a Medical Billing Specialist to join its Revenue Cycle department at the Taylorsville, UT headquarters.
In this role, you will analyze and research claims, identify billing issues, and work toward appropriate resolution. The position involves follow-up with insurance companies and other parties, responding to correspondence, and supporting timely and accurate billing resolution.
Requirements & Qualifications
Two years of medical billing experience required.
Qualifications include:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical abilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong human relations/interpersonal skills
- Ability to resolve billing edits and denials within established timelines
- Ability to identify trends and communicate recommendations to supervisors or managers
- Experience following up with insurance companies regarding claim status and payment
- Ability to write appeal letters using insurance guidelines
- Ability to respond to written and email correspondence within established timelines
- Ability to contact insurance companies, third-party payers, banks, attorneys, and individuals for account resolution
- Ability to use systems, documents, and reports to identify and correct errors accurately and on time
