Medical Billing Specialist

Local company is seeking a Medical Biller specializing in Medicare and Medicaid billing.

Responsibilities include:

• Collecting, posting, and managing account payments
• Preparing and submitting claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper
• Maintaining records of medical billing, claims, settlements, and medical insurance
• Answering questions from patients, clerical staff, and insurance companies
• Identifying and resolving patient billing complaints
• Assigning appropriate codes to ensure medical facilities are billed accurately
• Verifying diagnoses and procedures with physicians to avoid discrepancies
• Reviewing accounts for possible assignment to collections and preparing information for the collections agency

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
