Medical Billing Specialist

Requirements & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients based on services rendered and contractual agreements
  • Review and verify billing information for accuracy, including rates, quantities, and payment terms
  • Communicate with clients and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies or inquiries
  • Maintain organized records of billing transactions and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to billing and revenue

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate invoicing and protect company revenue
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams
  • Proficiency in Excel and other software tools for data management and reporting
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and billing compliance
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to multitask in a busy office setting

Experience & Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent office/billing experience
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • CBCS certification preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and billing software/ERPs
  • Solid understanding of claims, denials, payment posting, and insurance carrier processes
  • Dependable team player available for a standard full-time, 8-hour workday schedule
