Fairview Range is hiring a Patient Account Billing Specialist for its Patient Finance Department in Hibbing, MN.
This role focuses on filing claims promptly with third-party payers, following up to maximize reimbursement, resolving denials and rejections, and helping patients understand billing requirements and procedures. The position also serves as a liaison between patients, payers, attorneys, and the organization regarding patient accounts.
Schedule details:
- 80 hours per two weeks
- 8-hour day shifts
- No weekends
- Hybrid role with on-site work required 1 rotating day approximately every 9 weeks

Required qualifications:
- Associate of Arts in a related field, or
- Bachelor of Arts, or
- 2+ years of recent hospital and/or clinic billing experience, or equivalent experience
Additional qualifications and responsibilities include:
- Knowledge of third-party payer claim requirements
- Ability to analyze, edit, and correct claims data accurately
- Experience with multiple computerized billing systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to resolve claim denials, rejections, and account balance issues
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain ethical and legal billing practices
