Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) and its family of brands is seeking a Follow Up Representative to support revenue cycle operations from a remote work environment.
The role is responsible for full payor follow-up across different types of payors, helping ensure timely payment of open claims and resolution of outstanding account balances. This position works closely with clinics, patients, insurance companies, and internal departments to manage billing follow-up, denials, and appeals.
PRN is a physical therapy network focused on personalized care, clinical insight, and patient support.
Requirements & Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Manage primary and secondary claims
- Respond promptly to billing inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and departments
- Work with clinics to identify and resolve issues regarding outstanding account balances
- Resolve denials and submit appeals
- Utilize resources to secure timely payment of open claims
- Research assigned correspondence and take necessary action to resolve requests
- Ensure daily accomplishments contribute toward company A/R goals
- Resolve accounts in follow-up queues
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 year of prior medical receivable collections experience preferred
- Understanding of medical claims processing
- Experience with insurance systems
- Knowledge of insurance, including state and federal rules and regulations related to billing and collections
- Ability to understand claim denials and rejections
- Ability to read an Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
