This role is responsible for accurate and timely claims submission, compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting the financial health of the organization through meticulous billing practices.
The position involves working closely with providers, insurance companies, and internal team members to resolve billing discrepancies, manage denials, and ensure efficient revenue cycle operations.
• Proven experience in medical billing within a home health or healthcare setting • Strong knowledge of medical coding, including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, ICD coding systems, and DRG classifications • Experience with medical collections and resolving insurance claim issues • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for documentation and claims processing • Understanding of healthcare claims management, health insurance policies, and medical records management • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, insurance companies, and team members • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding standards
