Seeking a general dentist to join a two-doctor dental practice in the mountains for four days per week, approximately 27–28 hours.
The role includes performing a mix of general dentistry procedures, working with two operatories and two dental assistants, and supporting a packed patient schedule. The practice is in-network with some insurance plans and serves a large portion of cash-pay patients.
Compensation is based on collections, historically equivalent to 99% of adjusted production. The position offers a low-stress environment with strong earning potential.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school
- Active state dental licensure
- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques
- Knowledge of medical coding for billing purposes
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Ability to work effectively in a dental office setting
Clinical responsibilities
- Perform fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns
- Interpret X-rays and diagnostic tests
- Administer anesthetics during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Provide oral health education and preventive guidance
- Perform molar endodontics, dentures, and extractions as needed
