Join a dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and help deliver exceptional patient care and promote optimal oral health. In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of the dental practice. You will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for at every visit.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
- Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments, sealants, or other preventive measures
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
- Support infection prevention protocols by following aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and managing infection control procedures
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures
- Experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings; pediatric patient care preferred
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and appointment scheduling
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and oral health anatomy
- Ability to perform dental X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate diverse patient populations effectively
- Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control practices
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR), medical coding, and documentation review is highly desirable
