This position is for a future Costco opening on August 7th. The practice is looking for an optometrist to start early, develop a patient base, and grow with the team.
You will provide comprehensive eye care services in a patient-centered environment, including vision assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing management of eye health. The role involves working with patients of all ages and using modern EMR/EHR systems to support accurate documentation and efficient care delivery.
Duties include conducting thorough eye examinations, diagnosing and treating common eye conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, performing pediatric eye assessments, documenting patient information, educating patients on eye health, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with current certification to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
Strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
Experience with optical equipment and detailed eye examinations for diverse patient populations, including pediatrics
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and data security
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and record keeping
Excellent customer service skills and sales experience to recommend optical products effectively
Ability to perform vital signs measurement, use aseptic technique during procedures, and support medical coding for billing purposes
