In this role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, assist with patient assessments, and support the clinical team with a variety of procedures. You will help maintain high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality while contributing to a positive care environment.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Conduct vital signs assessments and review medical history to assist in patient evaluation and treatment planning.
Assist dentists during procedures such as examinations, restorations, and other general dentistry treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) by documenting treatment details, medical terminology, and patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure infection prevention management by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilization protocols, and healthcare infection control standards.

Qualifications

Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and medical records management.
Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control practices.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse patient populations.
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) preferred.
