Under the supervision of the Director of Revenue Cycle, this role is responsible for timely billing and accounts receivable functions, including claims filing, patient billing, and accounts receivable management for patients and third-party carriers. The position also monitors patient/client accounts, processes payments, reconciles claim denials, and supports accurate billing operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing
- Knowledge of medical billing principles and practices
- Understanding of insurance benefits
- Knowledge of OASAS Article 32, Article 28, and 31 billing rules and compliance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, internet, and email
- Experience using NextGen, ePACES, and managed care web portals
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Team-oriented, flexible, and able to work under pressure with professionalism
