Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing Internal Medicine/Urgent Care team in Newington, Connecticut. This full-time, permanent opportunity is ideal for an experienced provider who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care to a diverse patient population.

Working collaboratively with physicians and an interdisciplinary healthcare team, the Physician Assistant will play a key role in diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic medical conditions while promoting preventive care and overall wellness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care and internal medicine services to adult patients.
  • Conduct detailed patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment plans, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Provide follow-up care and monitor patient progress to achieve optimal health outcomes.
  • Perform sutures and wound care.
  • Oversee X-rays with an X-ray technician and/or lead MD.
Requirements & Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the State of Connecticut.
  • Previous clinical experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Primary Care, or a related specialty preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current and updated CV required.
