Orthopaedic Associates, a board-certified orthopedic practice, is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Payment Poster / Charge Poster with insurance recovery experience to join its Front Office / Billing department.
This role is responsible for posting payments, maintaining explanation of review records, obtaining supporting payment documentation, tracking PPO discount names and rates, and communicating with claims administrators and adjusters. The position also includes reviewing payment records, performing audits, documenting claim-related correspondence and phone calls, and supporting billing projects under the direction of the Billing and Collections Manager.
The clinic serves patients with orthopedic care, including minimally invasive surgical techniques and fracture care.
- Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in medical billing and payment posting / charge posting with insurance recovery experience
- Knowledge of medical codes and insurance billing processes
- Experience in a healthcare facility
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent grammar and spelling
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Competent with computer systems
- Strong patient service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team and handle conflict professionally
