The Clinical Informaticist is a remote healthcare position with up to 50% travel. This role supports the integration and application of information technology in clinical environments, serving as a liaison between clinical care and information technology.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting employees throughout the care continuum in the full life cycle of clinical technology projects
- Promoting system standardization and optimization
- Supporting clinical value transformation and evidence-based practice strategies
- Improving patient safety and care quality through system workflows, technology enhancements, and clinical dashboards
- Providing informatics expertise in curriculum design and delivery, EHR training, and competency validation
- Communicating technology changes, upgrades, and downtimes to clinical customers
- Conducting workflow analysis to improve the efficient and reliable use of clinical information systems
- Participating in implementation and go-live activities
- Developing and maintaining standards of work and system design
- Collaborating with key leaders, teams, and subject matter experts on projects, workflows, and technology integration
- Contributing to projects focused on enhanced functionality and user efficiency
- Providing routine communication regarding project status, accomplishments, upcoming activities, and risks
Requirements & Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Nursing, Informatics, HIT, Health Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience upon hire
- Active clinical license in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapy
Preferred
- Epic certification
- Informatics Nurse (RN BC Info)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
