1. Indications

The peri-procedural device evaluation and programming of a leadless pacemaker system is indicated for patients who have undergone or are scheduled to undergo surgical procedures, medical tests, or other interventions that may impact the functioning of their pacemaker. The following conditions warrant this evaluation:

• Adjustment Needs Patients may require adjustments to their leadless pacemaker settings to ensure optimal performance during and after medical procedures.
• Monitoring Heart Activity Continuous monitoring of the heart's electrical activity is necessary to assess the pacemaker's functionality and make any required modifications.
• Pre-Procedure Preparation Prior to surgery or medical tests, evaluating the device ensures that it is appropriately programmed to support the patient's cardiac needs.
• Post-Procedure Assessment After a procedure, it is crucial to evaluate the pacemaker to confirm that it is operating correctly and to adjust settings as needed based on the patient's condition.

2. Procedure

The procedure for peri-procedural device evaluation and programming of a leadless pacemaker system involves several critical steps to ensure accurate assessment and adjustment of the device.

• Step 1: Patient Preparation The patient is prepared for the procedure by ensuring that they are in a comfortable position, and the area where the electrodes will be placed is cleaned and prepared to minimize any risk of infection.
