Team Assistant

Community Healthcare of Texas

Community Healthcare of Texas has provided Hospice and Palliative Care Services since 1996. They have cared for patients with serious and terminal illnesses throughout North Central Texas. Their mission is providing compassionate care for those living with illness while supporting those caring for a loved one.

The Team Assistant provides administrative support to the site team.

Responsibilities include answering and routing phone calls, placing Durable Medical Equipment (DME) orders, typing emails, memos, letters, performing data entry of referrals, visit and physician logs, possibly maintaining hard copy patient charts, sending doctor's orders for signatures and tracking them, conducting month-end closes such as billing error corrections and physician visits, processing HCHB workflow accurately and timely, obtaining insurance authorizations or referrals, informing staff of any changes related to discharges, schedules, or clinical meetings, tracking patient admission, discharge, certification, and re-certification dates, covering reception desk as needed, and other miscellaneous duties.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (some college preferred), at least 1 year clerical experience, healthcare experience, and typing/PC skills.
