In this entry-level Patient Referral Coordinator role, you will ensure seamless communication between hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, patients, and clinical staff primarily via email, fax, text, and phone. You will manage correspondence, serve as a communication hub across multiple clinics and facilities, follow up on documentation and orders, navigate complex insurance processes, and maintain organized records.
Secondary duties include greeting and assisting patients at arrival, verifying and updating patient demographics and insurance details, handling walk-in registrations, collecting patient payments, and ensuring accurate electronic health records.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, less than one year of customer service or related experience, and preferred experience with medical front office procedures. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, and basic computer proficiency are essential.
