Patient Scheduler

Join GetixHealth as a Patient Scheduler and play a vital role in supporting patient care by managing appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and communication between patients and medical staff. You'll be the primary contact coordinating appointment details, insurance benefits, and helping patients understand their financial responsibilities prior to visits.

Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments via phone and electronic correspondence, verifying insurance benefits, educating patients about insurance processes, confirming visits, maintaining patient records, coordinating with providers, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

The role requires strong customer service skills, experience with EHR systems (athenaOne preferred), and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Remote work with provided equipment is required, along with flexible availability Monday through Friday during business hours.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years customer service, appointment scheduling, or healthcare experience
  • 1+ year EHR system experience (athenaOne preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and computer systems
  • Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
  • Experience in remote work environments preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and customer service skills
  • Dependable and team-oriented with a patient-focused approach
