Altercare Hartville is seeking a Medical Records Technician to maintain all medical records in the facility, ensuring proper order and completeness.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare admissions and re-admission chart records in both hard copy and electronic formats.
- Complete audits and validation reports, communicating findings to Director of Nursing (DON).
- Maintain records of all discharged residents in proper order.
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited school with a diploma equivalent.
- College or Medical Billing/Coding schooling required or must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Prior training desirable but not necessary. On-the-job training and in-service provided.
- Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
- RHIT credential desirable but not required.
