Empire Care Centers, a leading skilled nursing facility, is seeking a dynamic Human Resources/ Medical Records Director to join our dedicated team.
As the Human Resources Director, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment and supporting our commitment to delivering top-notch care. Your responsibilities include:
- Executing all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.
- Implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborating with leadership to address workforce planning and development needs.
- Managing employee engagement initiatives and fostering a culture of teamwork and inclusion.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Human Resources, preferably with a background in long-term care.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to navigate complex HR challenges with a solution-oriented approach.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting is a significant advantage.
Medical Records Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Review and verify the accuracy of incoming medical records, reports, and test results.
- Organize and file patient records in a secure and confidential manner.
- Ensure all medical records are current and up-to-date.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve medical record accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff members to resolve medical record discrepancies.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Medical Records Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Proven experience in Human Resources, ideally in long-term care, knowledge of industry regulations, strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle complex HR challenges, previous nursing home or long-term care experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to maintain confidentiality.
