Hand + Physical Therapy NYC is a therapist owned and operated outpatient practice located in Union Square, New York City, offering specialty Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Hand therapy services.

We are seeking a Full-Time Patient Care Coordinator / Front Office Administrator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, this role includes clerical and receptionist duties combined with patient assistance tasks to support therapists. Candidates should be professional, energetic, detail-oriented, well organized, and understand confidentiality and discretion.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients in and out of the therapy area
  • Maintain patient treatment schedules aligned with facility needs
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Answer and screen telephone calls
  • Assist in patient care consistent with Occupational Therapy / Physical Therapy ethical codes and practice acts
  • Prepare treatment equipment as needed
  • Maintain records and filing per company procedures
  • Collaborate with billing department to ensure billing information accuracy
  • Maintain facility order and cleanliness
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Work Details:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:40 AM - 5:00 PM
  • In-person at a therapy clinic outpatient private practice

  • Preferably 1 year experience in medical setting or customer service
