Make frequent decisions following general procedures, requiring mental alertness and attention to detail. Maintain diplomacy and professionalism with patients, families, visitors, and clinic personnel. Serve as the positive first point of contact for clinic customers. Position involves high contact with patients, employees, and physicians. Attendance is essential.
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year experience in customer service setting, preferably six months receptionist experience in healthcare
- Experience with office equipment
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
- Vision corrected to 20/20, normal hearing
- Physical requirements including sitting 7-8 hours/day, standing, walking, hand-eye coordination, lifting up to 50 pounds
- May be exposed to airborne particles
- Ability to view computer screens for long periods
- Able to handle occasional stress related to workload and customer problems
- Position is safety sensitive, subject to substance abuse policy
