The Medical Records Specialist maintains the PACE Organization's medical records system (electronic and hard copy) ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies to support efficient clinical documentation management.
Responsibilities include managing and maintaining medical records systems per state, federal, and corporate regulations; organizing and ensuring accessibility of medical records for staff and providers; responding to medical record requests from various departments including Enrollment, PACE PCPs, and Finance; assisting in staff training on medical record processes and compliance; ensuring confidentiality and tracking medical record requests; and supporting additional projects as needed.
- Associate's degree in applied science or science
- Minimum 3 years of medical records experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
