Intune Physical Therapy, partnering with Spero Rehab, offers physical therapy services specializing in neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic care, sports injury rehabilitation, pelvic floor therapy, and aquatic therapy in Austin and Houston, TX. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations and a positive experience for patients from their arrival.
Key Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, verifying insurance and required documentation, scheduling and confirming appointments, managing therapists' calendars, answering phones professionally, processing patient payments, verifying insurance benefits and obtaining authorizations, managing electronic medical records, coordinating patient flow with clinical staff, maintaining a clean reception area, handling general office duties, and assisting with insurance claims processing.
Qualifications required: high school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree preferred), 1-2 years of medical office or customer service experience, knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures, proficiency with EMR systems and practice management software, strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, professional appearance and demeanor, and knowledge of medical insurance and billing procedures preferred.
The position accommodates part-time, full-time, and PRN shift preferences.
