Performs a variety of clerical duties involved in maintaining patient medical records including retrieving and distributing medical records, reporting, and maintaining associated logs and records according to established priorities and procedures.
Responsibilities include verifying patient demographics from scanned electronic test requisition forms and test results, reporting test results to physicians and patients within 24-48 hours according to client preferences (mail, fax, email, internet), submitting tickets for new client account setup, responding to emails from internal and external clients, reprinting or sending reprint requests for results, managing time appropriately, and coordinating with other departments such as billing and sales to ensure timely reporting of results. Ability to adapt to company policy and procedural changes is required. Daily and monthly goals must be met.

Proficient with information management programs and Microsoft Office, with aptitude for learning new systems and procedures.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Maintain 10% or fewer mistakes and typing speed of 45 WPM.
Education/Experience:
- One to three years clerical experience and high school diploma required.
- Associate degree (A.A.) in Business is a plus.
- Preferred courses in data entry, laboratory procedures, and client care.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs.
- Vision abilities including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
